Team Christner is a recreational bicycling club formed to participate in charity bike rides and promote the health and fitness benefits of cycling to its members. Membership is open to riders of all levels wishing to participate in charity bike events. Team Christner focuses on two charity bike rides:
EXPRESS SCRIPTS GATEWAY GETAWAY ST. LOUIS MS 150 September 7-8 This is our flagship event and will be Team Christner’s sixth year sponsoring a team. The MS 150 is a two day ride based in Columbia Missouri supporting the Gateway Chapter of the National MS Society. Ride routes of 20, 40, 75 and 100 miles are offered. The routes have excellent SAG support and rest stops at ten mike intervals.At the ride we provide a well stocked team tent, masseuse, home brew and a Friday night team dinner.
Thanks to our members efforts, we have consistently been a top ten fundraising team.
Pedal the Cause is a one day event in St. Louis Missouri supporting the Siteman Center and St. Louis Children's Hospital. Fully supported ride routes of 15, 25, 50, 70 and 100 miles are offered as well as a spinning tent. This will be the first year that Team Christner riders will be participating at pedal the cause. So far May has taken us straight to summer. We're fine with that. There is no official Team Ride over Memorial Day, but many will be riding the weekly Hub/Trailnet ride from The Hub in Webster. That ride starts at 8:00 am.Saturday June 1 will be a West County Team Ride from Windsor Community Church on Etherton Rd. Clip in at 7:30. Will have maps up in the next day or so.. Saturday June 15 will be a Team Ride from The Hub. Clip in at 8:00 am. Check back soon to see our new jersey design and learn how to get your own. The MS 150 team stands steady at 32 riders. Registration for the ride is $40 until June 16 then it goes up to $50. We've set up Team Christner for Pedal the Cause. You may register by following this link http://stlouis.pedalthecause.org/ .
